I had a mixed experience at Lamartine Chelsea. While the location was convenient and easily accessible, my room's cleanliness and wifi connectivity left a lot to be desired. The overall atmosphere felt cramped and too basic for my liking, but the air conditioning worked well, which was a plus.
Rooms
5.0
The room was surprisingly small and felt quite claustrophobic. I didn’t appreciate how tiny the single room was, especially without a TV. The shared bathroom situation also wasn’t the best, as I often had to wait for facilities.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking at times, especially when I needed assistance with the wifi, which didn’t work for the first day. I felt like there wasn’t enough help available when issues arose.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, just a couple of blocks from major transportation hubs. This made it super easy to get around New York City.

I did enjoy the freshly baked bread available, it added a nice touch to my mornings.
Facilities

Facilities were minimal. I appreciated the air conditioning, but the lack of a TV and the cramped shared bathrooms made the stay feel quite basic.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore New York City, but the room and bathroom conditions left much to be desired. While the check-in process was smooth and the staff friendly, I found the noise levels in the hotel quite bothersome at times.
Rooms
5.0
The room was clean overall, but smaller than expected and quite uncomfortable due to the bed. The rugs looked old and faded, and I noticed some maintenance issues like a damp smell in one bathroom and a few drain flies. I wished there were better blankets and more towels provided.
Service
5.0
The staff was nice and helpful, which made my stay a bit more pleasant. The check-in and check-out process using door codes was also very convenient.
Location
5.0
I loved the location since it was close to the Fashion Institute of Technology and within walking distance to Times Square. It felt safe, and there were plenty of great places to grab a bite nearby.
Dining
5.0
I didn't dine extensively in the hotel, but the area has numerous options for quick snacks or meals, which I appreciated during my busy days in the city.
Facilities
5.0
The lack of adequate towels and some bathroom facilities left something to be desired. The communal kitchen was serviceable, but access required navigating several flights of stairs, which was a challenge with my luggage.

My stay at Lamartine Chelsea was a mixed bag. The location is awesome, just a couple blocks from Penn Station, making it easy to get around. However, the single room I booked was super tiny, basically the size of a king-sized bed, which felt a bit claustrophobic. I had to deal with poor WiFi and a shared bathroom, but I got what I paid for in New York. If you just need a place to crash, it's not all bad.
Rooms
5.0
My single room was super small, not much better than a closet. No TV, which wasn't a big deal, but the terrible WiFi was a bummer, making it hard to stream anything.
Service
5.0
There was only one person on duty, and I felt a bit disconnected since communication was mostly remote. It would have been nice to have more in-person support.
Location
8.0
The location is prime, just a short walk to Penn Station. Getting around on public transport is super easy from here, which made my trip so much smoother.
Dining
7.0
There are some great delis and bodegas close by, so food options are solid nearby. Totally a plus for late-night snacking or breakfast runs.
Facilities
6.0
The shared bathroom situation wasn't my favorite, but it was clean. Wish there were better facilities to store luggage outside check-in times though.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Lamartine Chelsea. While the central location was a huge advantage, I faced several issues with the facilities and service that were quite frustrating.
Rooms
6.0
The room was comfortable and clean, though I encountered some challenges. The setup was a bit awkward, especially with steep stairs and a window leading to a fire escape. Plus, the bathroom light was too dim.
Service
5.0
I was disappointed with the service. I asked staff about monthly rates and room service, but received no follow-up. One day, we even experienced a water outage without any notification.
Location

On the bright side, the location couldn't be better. It's close to Penn Station and Times Square, making it easy to get around and explore the city.
Dining

They advertised room service, but I couldn't find any available dining options during my stay. It was a letdown since I was expecting more from the dining experience.
Facilities

The building had some ongoing construction that made me feel uneasy at times. The showers also had issues, with broken faucets and one even locking me in.

I had a comfortable and cozy stay, with a clean room and friendly atmosphere. However, I did encounter some issues, particularly with communication and access, as the staff were difficult to reach and the door code changed unexpectedly. Overall, I found the location excellent and felt safe throughout my visit. 🛌✨
Rooms
5.0
My double room was comfortable and clean, perfect for a short stay. However, the bedding was a bit too small for taller guests, and I was given only one towel, which was challenging for a longer trip.
Service
5.0
The service could be improved; I struggled to contact the staff for assistance, and the check-in felt a bit odd at first. Despite that, I managed to get by during my stay.
Location
5.0
The location was fantastic, close to major sights like the Empire State Building and Times Square. It felt safe, and I really appreciated the easy access to the subway.
Dining
5.0
While I didn't specifically use dining facilities, I liked that there were drink machines and multiple fridges available for guests' use.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities offered clean shared bathrooms and kitchens, which were well-maintained. However, the Wi-Fi signal was not reliable in my room, which was frustrating.
